Christopher Brown is a proud lifelong resident of Central Ohio. He was raised in Merion Village, a small neighborhood in southeast Columbus. Chris has always felt the call to serve the public in the city and county where he was raised. His diverse background and trial experience makes him an ideal judicial candidate.
Christopher Brown was hired as an assistant county prosecutor in Franklin County immediately after passing the bar exam. In 2008, he was awarded a position in the prestigious Special Victims Unit, prosecuting violent felony cases involving sexual assault and domestic and child abuse cases. Chris was named a Rising Star by the Ohio Super Lawyers magazine in 2009. In January 2012, he became the managing attorney for the J. Scott Weisman Law Office. He currently handles the day-to-day operations of the firm, including all court appearances, motion hearings, and criminal trials throughout Central Ohio. Chris believes it is important that our judges have extensive litigation and trial experience. Chris has been in the courtroom consistantly since 2005, and has conducted over 30 jury trials as an assistant prosecutor and criminal defense attorney. Chris’s aggregate courtroom experience is equal to that of many attorneys of greater age than he.
