Timothy S. Horton
Municipal Judge


Tim Horton is running for the Tenth District Court of Appeals. November of 2006, Judge Timothy S. Horton was elected to the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, General Division. Horton’s commitment, knowledge and passion for fairness and justice remain fervent. He is passionate about the law and what it stands for, which is to protect the freedoms and values that we all cherish.


Before taking the bench, Horton practiced at the Columbus law firm of Chester, Willcox & Saxbe, LLP, where he handled complex civil litigation and employment law. He began his career as an Ohio assistant attorney general, where he represented the State of Ohio in federal and state courts that involved employment matters.

In 1995, Horton graduated from The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law, where he also serves as a guest lecturer and speaker. In 1992, he received an undergraduate degree from Boston University.


Horton, a native of Central Ohio, continues to serve the community through his church, youth soccer associations, and various other boards and associations. He has been married to his wife, Lateea, for 15 years and they have three beautiful and talented children.
